Where to buy refurbished MacBooks?

In the US, you can buy refurbished MacBooks from Apple's own refurbished store, from marketplaces like Amazon Renewed and eBay Refurbished, and from specialist refurbishers such as Back Market and Mac of All Trades. Each sets its own prices, cosmetic grades, and warranty terms, so the same model can vary a lot between sellers. RefurbMe puts these listings side by side so you compare in one place.

RefurbMe's tracking puts the median Time-to-Refurb at 94 days for the MacBook Air and 101 days for the MacBook Pro in the US, as of October 2026. That is the gap between Apple's announcement of a model and the first refurbished unit RefurbMe records in stock, so a MacBook announced in the last few months will have few refurbished offers yet.

Who sells refurbished MacBooks?

All of these sellers are vetted, and availability varies by market.

As of October 5, 2026, RefurbMe lists in-stock refurbished MacBooks in the US from all five of these sellers.

Back Market covers every RefurbMe market except Canada and Italy, and Mac of All Trades is US-only. Apple, Amazon Renewed, and eBay Refurbished operate in every market RefurbMe covers. In the UK, MusicMagpie also sells refurbished MacBooks. In Canada, the Apple Refurbished Store, Amazon Renewed, and eBay Refurbished are the sellers with MacBooks in stock.

What should you check before buying?

Compare the cosmetic grade, warranty length, and return window, not just the headline price. Only the Apple Refurbished Store is AppleCare eligible. Stock moves fast, so set a price alert if your model is out of stock.
