No, RefurbMe does not offer an advance payment or pre-order system. Since we are a comparison website and not a seller, we do not process any payments.
How purchasing works
When you find a refurbished product on RefurbMe, the buying process is handled entirely by the seller:
- You click through to the refurbisher's website to complete the purchase.
- The product must be currently in stock on the seller's site for you to buy it.
- RefurbMe does not reserve, hold, or sell inventory. We display real-time availability from multiple refurbishers.
Why availability changes quickly
Refurbished products are typically one-of-a-kind items. Once a specific unit is sold, it is gone. This means:
- Popular models (especially recent iPhones and MacBooks) can sell out within hours of being listed.
- Prices and availability fluctuate as refurbishers add and sell inventory.
- There is no way to guarantee a specific product will still be available when you are ready to buy.
