A price alert on RefurbMe sends you an email when an offer at or under your maximum price is in stock. Open the device you want, click "Price Alert", type your maximum price and your email, then confirm your email. RefurbMe watches every refurbisher it lists in your market, so you hear about a matching offer from Amazon Renewed, eBay Refurbished, the Apple Store or Back Market (US and UK) without checking each one. No account is needed, and it is free.
A price alert fires on price drops too. You get an email when a seller lists a unit at or under your price, when a sold-out one comes back at that price, or when an offer that is already listed drops to your price or below. An alert without a maximum price, such as a stock availability alert set without a price filter, works differently: it emails you only when a matching offer is new or back in stock.
Looking for a Back Market price tracker? RefurbMe has no price-history chart, but a price alert covers Back Market offers in the US and UK, along with every other seller RefurbMe lists there.
How do I set a price alert?
- Find the Apple refurb you want, for example a MacBook Air 13.3".
- Open the device and scroll to the seller offers.
- Click "Price Alert". On a phone, the button shows only its icon.
- In the pop-up, type the maximum price you want to pay and your email address.
- Confirm your email. RefurbMe sends you a 6-digit code to type in the pop-up, and the same email has a "Confirm my email" button. The alert sends nothing until you confirm.
If the confirmation email doesn't arrive, see what to do if you haven't received your confirmation email.
How many emails will I get?
An alert sends at most 3 emails in total: "Available", "Still available" and "Last reminder". They come at least 6 hours apart, and the count runs across restocks and price drops. While an offer stays in stock at or under your price, the next email goes out 6 hours after the last one, so a single price drop can use all three within about 12 hours. After the third email, the alert stays quiet until 60 days have passed without a send. If your emails stopped, read why your RefurbMe alert stopped.
When do refurbished prices drop?
There is no fixed schedule. Prices tend to fall when a newer model launches, when a seller clears stock, or simply when more units of an older device get refurbished. For the wider pattern, see how refurbished Apple prices change over time. If you want more matches, raise your maximum price.
If you care more about getting the device at all than the exact price, set a stock availability alert instead. You can manage or remove any alert from the email or the alerts page.
